Yesterday, my dad, my sister and I went shopping. My dad went for groceries, bricks, and a ladder. My sister went for a composition notebook and a book cover. I went for Arbys and to look at guitars. So we all went together, went just about everywhere we needed to go and then to look at guitars for me. First guitar, so my dad was kinda skeptical. The sales person showed us one begginer guitar set, and my dad wanted to know about a special they were having, concerning a free guitar with the purchase of strings. So the guy shows my dad the guitar and begins to explain why it isn't a very good guitar. My dad doesn't think he's doing a good job, starts raising his voice and abruptly leaves. I thank the guy and follow my dad and he starts going off about how evil sales people are and continues untill we're home. My sister and I try to point out that my dad over-reacted and my dad gets defensive. To top it all off, my sister throws in that my dad keeps bringing up what happened at prom and she gets all emotional.

My dad and I talk about what happened and get him a bit more calmed down. And for my sister and I to vent, we go and spend two hours in borders looking for an SAT study guide, keyboard book and a Japanese dictionary. Then we needed to pick up more paint, because my mom is painting the ceiling and ran out. Come home, have dinner, watch V for Vendetta and sleep. Now I don't know what's goning to happen with the guitar and I'm stressed out.

The good, the bad and the ugly... in reverse order. The ugly: the amount of homework I'm getting. Not that it's hard, just time consuming. It took me an hour and a half to skim through 26 pages to anwser 16 questions, sad. And taking gov. notes that are practicly copied from the page word for word. The bad: let me explain something first; I am a very quiet person and seem to stick out. My quietness is either taken a shy quiet or a "I think I'm better/smarter than everyone else" quiet. It's neither, I either have no one to talk to or have nothing to say. I think 3 of my teachers don't like me. First 3 days of school, this is my only surmisable reason. Why? 2 look at me funny and the other one glares at me.

The good: and alot of it! That's why it gets it's own paragraph. I don't hate my english teacher this year! At least not yet. He's pretty cool, and we have SSR again(I always liked reading). One of my friends, who was in my english class last year and happens to be in it this year as well, told me not to drop on her again. I dropped my english class last year because of the teacher. 2nd thing, got to see two friends again! Last year I went strictly half day, but this year I added another class. So now I get to hang out with them every other day before class. One of them, Josh, is studying web design at the career center so I'm going to ask him for pointers ^_^ I am so thrilled!

And did you hear? Pluto has been demoted. No longer cosidered a planet. My dad heard it on NPR.

So much for updating... No excuses, I've been lazy.

Anyway, school started yesterday, still going 1/2 day for the most part. Because it's my last year, I'm really going to try to aply myself. My gov. class seems like an english one (I HATE english) and I don't like my earth/space sci. teacher. And we will have to see what my teachers are like today. But, in Japanese, my sis and I are in the same class! It's so small that thrid year and fourth year are combined, so I sit near her and another friend. School still sucks though.

On a lighter note, I discovered Amadeus, an operatic sort of group (I think they're gone now, their website is nonexistent) and they remind me of a few songs on Malice Mizer's Bara no Seido album.

Also, I am looking to pick up guitar. I used to play the violin, but dropped it because of a teacher. So I have accumulated money from lessons and am going to find a cheap guitar and a teach yourself book to see if I'll like it. That's all for now.
